Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Owen, the founder of jtenglish and the main servant of this club. Tomorrow at 8 pm sharp, I will be hosting the first round of our online seminar, you know, to get the ball rolling.
I will make a detailed introduction in our activity in case if you don’t know me. But now I have an announcement to make:
To start with, the APP for our online discussion has been confirmed based on the voting results.
Thanks to @喵嘟宓’s suggestion, we’ve discovered a wonderful tool for the upcoming event. Actually, we’ve already get used to DingTalk, since they launched the APP much earlier than Tencent. But now, it seems that Tencent took the upper hand, I think we’ll just have to shift our focus to their product.
So, if you wanna join us, you’re supposed to install “Tencent Meeting” in advance, when the time come, we’ll send you an invitation beforehand. (Please remember, only those confirmed attendees get the invitation)
I’ve just installed this APP, it looks very use-friendly, it has a considerable amount of practical features in it, I’m quite positive that it won’t take you long to get used to it. Thanks again, @喵嘟宓 for your constructive suggestion.
Secondly, I’d like to stress a few ground rules and incentives to smooth our communication and boost study efficiency, please refer to the following poster:
Finally, I’d like to share a few words with you in terms of the mindset and attitude when it comes to English learning based on my own experience for the last 3 years, hopefully it may shed a light on how to keep yourself stay motivated:
“Success in language proficiency all comes down to constant interaction. Language itself is a formless and shapeless beauty, it demands your significant amount of time and profound dedication. What I like language most is its fairness in existence, it neither look up to the affluent nor appear high and mighty to the poor. So, if you really wanna master English, you’ve got to step out of your safe little bubble, do what’s uncomfortable but pays off in the long run.”
Now without further ado, it’s time for you to make a decision: to go or not to go!
